Frustrated
GAWD my art sucks! And I'm starting to get better at all digital stuff *blames Tegaki E* than on paper >___>;; ;~; this is very disheartening. Tons of people are better than I am, and I'm starting to lose some of my quality. The last drawing I just did in my sketchbook has one major mistake: waist is too friggin' long, but it was already too late to fix the pic. *sigh* .____.
And now that Nathan is gonna go into DigiPen, he's gonna be doing tons of stuff and improve by leaps and bounds, while I just sit here and draw what I want when I want and I don't draw what I need to draw so I can get better. Life drawings help a lot.
Maybe I'll just do some pose sketches of a couple characters to get my juices flowing again. could be any number of things hampering my drawing hand, but until most of my worries fade away or get better I'm gonna continue to sulk and admire everyone else's style and how mine looks static and blocky and cookie-cutter cuz I decided to teach myself by copying styles from favorite anime. There are very few sketches I like nowadays. I have an entire comic page I did and I only like the 4th panel enough to complete and color. It can do well as a stand-alone pic anyway.
........Yeah, I don't do well art-wise when I'm stressing ;-; god dammit. I'm in a rut but not cuz I'm sketching and stuff over at Tegaki (y'all are wonderful people, all y'all in mah group x3 ), it's just GAAAAHHHHH!! I haven't started work yet cuz they're all dragging their goddamn feet where my transfer is concerned. They're treating me like a re-hire, and from what I understood it wasn't supposed to be that complicated short of the transfer going through so many people before going into effect. I'll call Monday and ask what the friggin' deal is, because I want that job so i have income so I can pay my share of our first month's full rent for August. And even then it's gonna be late cuz we still spent too much on the way up here! Lord, I know you'll take care of us, I just get so impatient and I worry too damn much.
Guh, I need a good sleep and a good dream tonight. ;-; srsly.

Don't worry, even if other people may pass you up for now, just keep working hard, concentrate on the technical aspects, maybe go back to some of the basics, like anatomy or perspective, or whathaveyou. It's really really super important to always study the basics, even if you're an expect already. The guy I'm studying magic under told me one every important fact to keep in mind: Practice doesn't make perfect; practice makes CONSISTENT. So even if you're sketching and drawing all the time, if you're practicing and working the wrong way, then you'll end up having to unlearn everything at a later time.
Keep it up!! Alicia's teaching me a little bit at a time, and maybe I can even post some stuff up once I get better!! 8D
